MONET is a wireless sensor designed to protect paintings and wall objects, distinguishing itself from other museum sensors thanks to the particularity of not having to be in contact with the protected object. This guarantees the elimination of weight and size limits imposed by similar sensors of previous generation.
The micrometric infrared, on which its operating principle is based, calculates the exact distance between the sensor and the canvas, up to a maximum of 7 centimeters: if the canvas undergoes a variation of more than 10% of the total distance, the sensor generates an alarm, preventing the removal of the work. It also allows, if properly calibrated, to recognize the attempt to cut the canvas from its frame and is able to detect an object placed between the canvas and the sensor in an attempt to deceive it.
MONET is equipped with an internal tamper that provides a sabotage signal, in case of battery removal attempt. Easy to install, the sensor is calibrated by the receiving unit through a special command, and is available in radio version on a dedicated high security protocol Grade 3) Wi-Art.
