A long journey started in the later 80s when SICURIT Alarmitalia S.p.A, leading Italian wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products with more than 50 YEARS in the business, caught a technological gap in outdoor perimeter applications which by their nature serve the delicate task of being the first real line of defense.

In the 80s the technologies available were few and quite immature and communications with manufacturers was very poor. SICURIT, whose peculiarity has always been the after-sales service to its customers, had to run up and down within Italy to provide on-field technical support with no guarantee of success mainly due to the lack of information about site conditions and more generally on the feasibility of using such technologies supplied, often the result of a never shared project detailed information.

SICURIT PPS comes from the desire to change approach: not to intercept the System Integrator still in its design stage (impossible at that time, ed.) but to develop a solution that could adapt to different scenarios.

It’s from this idea that SICURIT PPS has been founded and first active Dual Technology barrier ABSOLUTE has been launched in the market (1992).

Since then, SICURIT PPS R&D dept. never stopped to dream…. and create!
